Trip Cancellation Terms & Conditions for The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD

  1. General Policy - All bookings made with The Travel Maverick SA are subject to the following cancellation terms. Cancellations must be submitted in writing (via email or official communication channels) and acknowledged by The Travel Maverick SA to be valid.

  2. Cancellation Charges - Less than 7 days before the trip start date: A cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking amount will apply. No refunds will be issued. 7 days or more before the trip start date: A cancellation fee of 75% of the total booking amount will apply. This fee is subject to deduction of any non-recoverable costs already incurred by The Travel Maverick SA in preparation for the trip (e.g., supplier deposits, venue bookings, permits, or third-party service charges). If such costs exceed 75% of the booking fee, the higher amount will be charged.

  3. No-Show Policy - Failure to arrive for the scheduled trip without prior written cancellation will be treated as a last-minute cancellation and charged at 100% of the booking fee.

  4. Refunds (if applicable) Any eligible refunds (after deduction of cancellation fees and incurred costs) will be processed within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation. Refunds will be made via the same payment method used at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

  5. Force Majeure - The Travel Maverick SA reserves the right to waive or adjust cancellation fees in cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, or unforeseen events beyond the client’s control). Such decisions will be made at the sole discretion of The Travel Maverick SA.

Acceptance of Terms: By confirming a booking, clients acknowledge and agree to these cancellation terms and conditions.


Terms of Use for The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD eGift Travel Voucher

These terms apply to all eGift Travel Vouchers issued by The Travel Maverick SA or on behalf of The Travel Maverick SA. By purchasing, redeeming or attempting to redeem a eGift Travel Voucher, you agree to the following terms:  

  1. eGift Travel Voucher can be redeemed on all the holiday packages available. The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD eGift Travel Voucher can be used as partial or full payment towards flights, accommodation, holiday package, and more (for all product types). eGift Travel Voucher are valid for use within 2 years from the date of sale and are available for use twenty-four (24) hours after purchase. 
  2. eGift Travel Voucher may only be applied up to the maximum value loaded onto the eGift Travel Voucher which is unspent at the time of use. Where the cost of purchase exceeds the available balance of the eGift Travel Voucher, the excess amount must be paid by another payment method.  
  3. eGift Travel Voucher are non-refundable. If a booking paid for with a The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD eGift Travel Voucher is cancelled and a refund is required, any amount originally paid using a eGift Travel Voucher will be refunded back onto a The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD eGift Travel Voucher. Any additional payments made using other payment methods (such as credit card or bank transfer) will be refunded to the original form of payment.
  4. eGift Travel Voucher may be redeemed in whole or part during the validity period. Where used in part, no change will be given. Any unused balance may be used against future purchases but will not be refunded or credited when the eGift Travel Voucher expires.  eGift Travel Voucher cannot be reloaded and may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, gift cards, traveller’s cheques, cash passports or any other form of currency
  5. The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD may cancel or render invalid any eGift Travel Voucher which determines in its absolute and sole discretion was purchased at any time and in any way (including via online auction or other unauthorised resale sites) by fraudulent means. The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD may cancel any bookings made using any fraudulent eGift Travel Voucher which may include any non-refundable amounts. The Travel Maverick SA (PTY) LTD will not be responsible for any costs incurred by you if you purchase or attempt to redeem any fraudulent eGift Travel Voucher from unauthorized parties. You acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to redeem any available balance on any fraudulent eGift Travel Voucher.   
  6. You are responsible for the use and security of your eGift Travel Voucher. Lost or stolen eGift Travel Voucher may not be replaced or refunded. Lost or stolen PIN numbers cannot be reissued or replaced. You are liable for all transactions on your eGift Travel Voucher except those caused by fraud or negligence by The Travel Maverick SA. 
  7. eGift Travel Voucher may be purchased up to a total value of 69000ZAR per eGift Travel Voucher online. Personal information collected in relation to your eGift Travel Voucher will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policies - POPI Act of 1 July 2021.
